The set also boasts a 400Hz refresh rate and local dimming, as well as the now-standard set of USB inputs, DLNA support, and the ever ambiguous TV "apps." LG looks set to unveil mobile 3DTV
We don't know much about it yet, but it's looking like we might be getting a taste of 3D on the go after all at CES. We'd hoped it would be with Nintendo's 3DS, but that report turned out to be a bust, and now LG is apparently going to pick up the slack with a new mobile digital TV that has a 3D display. We know virtually nothing about the set at this point, but we're thinking it will be glasses-free and are speculating that, after its appearance in Vegas next week, it'll never be seen in the US again.

Samsung to show the world's-thinnest 3D blu-ray player at CES

It seems that Samsung is set to release a new 3D Blu-ray player at CES (January 2011) that will be the world's thinnest (at 23mm thick). Apparently it will enable 2D to 3D conversion, and also built-in youTube, twitter, facebook and other applications.

Samsung will be introduce the lightest 3D glasses in the world at CES-2011.
In co-operation with the austrian company Silhouette Samsung reached the goal to reduce the weight by 10g.
The 3D glasses with advanced materials weight only 28g.
In addition the 3D glasses can detect if they are used or not with a automatically Auto Power on/off function.
As we reported Samsung Mobile Display show a A 19-inch qFHD Transparent AMOLED for TVs and monitors: World's first large-screen transparent AMOLED production prototype and a A 4.5-inch WVGA Flexible AMOLED offering world’s highest flexible display resolution at CES-2011.

Disney to release at least 15 3D Blu-ray titles in 2011

Disney plans to release "at least" 15 3D Blu-ray titles in 2011. This will include Tron: Legacy and Tangled, and the 3D titles will be released together with the 2D versions.

Toshiba shows a new glasses-free 3D laptop concept

Toshiba is showing a new glasses-free 3D laptop concept called the Qosmio. Beside the parallax-barrier LCD, the laptop also features an eye-tracking camera that can help to provide better 3D images (i.e. without a "dead-zone"). Although this works for just one viewer.
