由工研院、光電科技工業協進會主辦的2008台灣固態照明國際研討會，將於6月12日至13日在台北國際會議中心舉辦。第一日研討主題為Keynote Speech及Session I LED Lighting，探討課程包含Power LEDs for Lighting and the Industry challenge to enable general Illumination、Vision goes Reality、Recent Progress in High Power AlGaInP ＆ InGaN LEDs、Panel Discussion、TBD、Standardization of SSL and Measuring Methods、Nanolux - The World First LED-Headlamp in the Audi R8 and the German Cooperative Project、World-Wide LED Applications in Automotive Lighting、Yulon-Motor’s LED Headlamp Program。

第二日研討主題為Session II LEDBacklight，探討課程包含Wide Color Gamut White LED : A New Approach to Large Screen LCD TVs、LED Backlight for LCD Applications、Planar Light Source for a Low Cost and Thin LED Based BLU及Recent R＆D of GaN-based Materials and Devices in ITRI。
