TAIPEI, Taiwan – Following the Board of Directors meeting today, Wistron Corp. announced the financial results for the first three quarters. For the third quarter of 2015, revenue was NT$152.4 billion, operating income was NT$862 million, PBT was NT$1.3 billion and PAT was NT$657 million, with EPS of NT$0.27.
The total revenue in the first three quarters was NT$449 billion, operating income was NT$1,697 million, profit before tax (PBT) was NT$2,513 million and profit after tax (PAT) was NT$1,456 million, with EPS of NT$0.59.
In the third quarter, Wistron realized an one-off translation loss of NT$380.9 million for the liquidation of Wistron Services B.V. due to depreciated Euro and recognized an impairment loss of NT$96.8 million for long term investments.
In addition, the high tax ratio of 49.56% was mainly due to an accrual related to potential tax liability of NT$306.7 million, which is under negotiation with the tax authorities.
