TAIPEI, Taiwan - iST, a Taiwanese verification and analysis services provider, announced today that its over-the-air (OTA) wireless signal testing lab in Taipei, which recently certified by CTIA (Cellular Telephone Industries Association) specific to the certification of MIMO(Multi-input Multi-output) and become the first CTIA Authorized MIMO OTA lab (CATL, CTIA authorized Test Labs) in Taiwan and even Asia.
In January 2016, iST expanded its business scope from HDMI/MHL cable signal testing to OTA wireless signal testing and officially entering the market of very core technology of IoT including SISO (single-input and single-output), MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output), and Wi-Fi transmission testing of smart handheld devices. That is, iST is the very first lab in Taiwan that can provide both wireless and cable testing and certification services.
Since the announcement of MIMO v1.0 testing plan was released in August 2015, iST had immediately started distribution of MIMO-related equipment and chamber, as well as the in-depth knowledge of LTE MIMO testing standards.
Therefore, iST could meet the CTIA audit policy and become the first Asian MIMO CATL(CTIA Authorized Test Laboratory) in just one month after CTIA officially announced its MIMO v1.1 testing plan and audit policy, iST indicated.
iST further said, it has built up the MIMO OTA test system with full set of testing capacity supporting hosts of communication protocols and technique standards aimed at assisting domestic terminal manufacturers and telecomm operators in testing and verifying data transmission performance of MIMO mobile terminal devices under specification compliant environment.
The signal testing lab is also manned by team of members from veterans of leading IC design houses and smart terminal device suppliers. Based on comprehensive experience and familiarity with range of standards and testing, iST is offering consulting services for providing solution and tailor-made testing environment installation to assist clients in getting certification and fast entry into target markets.
