由工研院、光电科技工业协进会主办的2008台湾固态照明国际研讨会，将于6月12日至13日在台北国际会议中心举办。第一日研讨主题为Keynote Speech及Session I LED Lighting，探讨课程包含Power LEDs for Lighting and the Industry challenge to enable general Illumination、Vision goes Reality、Recent Progress in High Power AlGaInP ＆ InGaN LEDs、Panel Discussion、TBD、Standardization of SSL and Measuring Methods、Nanolux - The World First LED-Headlamp in the Audi R8 and the German Cooperative Project、World-Wide LED Applications in Automotive Lighting、Yulon-Motor’s LED Headlamp Program。

第二日研讨主题为Session II LEDBacklight，探讨课程包含Wide Color Gamut White LED : A New Approach to Large Screen LCD TVs、LED Backlight for LCD Applications、Planar Light Source for a Low Cost and Thin LED Based BLU及Recent R＆D of GaN-based Materials and Devices in ITRI。
